Wow...after being at a few places in Calgary over the past few weeks, I left some disappointed. I decided to stop by Original Joe’s in Kensington. I was expecting the usual but I got more than what I came for. Absolutely immaculate service by Mia and Bree, literally the dream team out on the floor. If one hit em high, the other hit em low :) Lunch ramped up pretty quick for an unusual Monday (The weather got very nice, very quick) and not only did they keep their composure throughout the lunch rush, they embraced it without missing a beat. Nate should also get some credit for checking in with the staff, letting them do their job and assisting when needed. Although I did not order any food as a I had a large brunch, it was noticeable that the back of house team was working hard and ran food out of the Kitchen. All in all it was a pleasure being your guest today. Mia and Bree reminded me what hard work, communication and teamwork looks like. Great job and I wish you the best in your future endeavours.
We came for drinks and mains and had Zach as our server. The service was great! He was very attentive and friendly the entire time. Overall the experience was amazing.

Moved to Calgary less than a week ago and already been to Original Joes 3 times! The day I arrived into Calgary after a long drive, I randomly found this place and was immediately treated like family by the bartender Mia. Super friendly atmosphere, good down to earth food and amazing service!
This restaurant has been our go-to spot for dinners and gatherings with friends, but this time, they made it extra special by helping organize a surprise party for my birthday! The staff was incredibly supportive, fun, and well-organized, making sure everything went perfectly. We always love coming here—the atmosphere, the service, and the overall experience are just amazing. Plus, it’s right in our neighborhood, so it’s our number one place to eat or hang out in Kensington!
We come for the beef dip every chance we get, and this location never disappoints! Top notch food, awesome service! The evening server is the friendliest! Zach is the bomb.com...seriously! Come in...Evenings! He’s here...full of energy, knows exactly how to treat you right. He’ll remember your name! We place orders over the phone...he remembers our name from the voice! He fills drinks before you need to ask! Top top notch Individual...also plays the bagpipes in his spare time! Can’t find someone cooler to serve you great food! Come check this place out!
We had the Cobb and Cesar salad and it was big and delicious! I wish I took a photo before I ate it all. Nate made sure we were taken care of and satisfied. In other words we had a great time. I Would recommend, and will be back! Thank you!
